Description

ATTORNEY HENRY WOMER
   • EARLY CLEVELAND OHIO AA TELLS HIS STORY AND TALKS ABOUT AA AROUND THE WORLD
   • SEPTEMBER 14,1973 at AVALON INN WARREN OHIO at TWO DAY SEMINAR of TRUMBELL COUNTY COMMITEE ON ALCOHOLISM

   • Henry Womer was an early Cleveland Ohio AA member who traveled the world visiting AA groups.
   • He was nearly 25 years sober at the time of this talk.
   • Tells his story of recovery. How he drank and some incidents. Talks about using the excuse he was an orphan to justify drinking. Jokes that it was good till he was in his forties.
   • Tells the story of his recovery experience, and relates some aspects of his first years in sobriety.
   • Tells how he started traveling the world visiting AA groups.
   • Talks about various countries he visited often relating how AA was started in the country under discussion.
   • This recording is a really good piece of AA history. I acquired the tape the CD was made from through an Ebay seller from an estate the estate of an Ohio AA as a reel to reel tape which was probably duplicated by the person who originally recorded the event.
   • Better than average sound quality due to it’s being remastered from a tape so close to source.
