Bob Earle Headtrips 14 Tracks 56 Minutes Headtrips October 1979

   • The identification factor of this tape is incredible. Bob talks at length about the acute problem that is the alcoholics self voice. “My mind tells me…”
   •  He tells of how his mind is like a vulture sitting on his bedpost waiting for him to get up in the morning so it can talk to him.
   • Ultimately he winds up helping those of us who identify with this struggle learn to live with ourselves, and understand that what we need to listen to is our higher power and not our negativity prone mind.
   •  At the outset of this talk the person introducing BOB asks the audience if it’s alright if he goes over the allotted time. They respond enthusiastically that he can.
   •  Relates that his mind is the worst enemy he has in sobriety.
   •  Explains that there is a difference between the mind and the soul. The mind is constantly trying to lead him in the wrong direction. How within a person there is also a soul which can be led by a spiritual program.
   •  Talks about the set of circumstances by which he came into AA.
   •  He talks for well over an hour.
   •  A very good tape for someone trying to practice rule 62 (Don’t take yourself so seriously). Click on History of Recovery link below this listings title to see all my items
